Three
months ago Montana came into my life. I went to get him at a
breeder and when I got there I was disgusted to find out he was living
on a dirt floor with ten other puppies in the front yard. He was filthy
when we first saw him, and he had a bloated stomach. Being naive, the
"breeder" told me he just ate, how dumb am I? Come to find out he had
really bad worms, and he was sick the first week I had him. In
retrospect I realized he was the innocent victim of a puppy mill. His
parents were locked up in a smelly cage with three other dogs, outside and
300 to 400 yards away from her house, it had to be there because of the
stink! Then she admitted to us that she very rarely let them out to
exercise! I felt sick for a week thinking of those conditions, and tried
to take action. Unfortunately it was to no avail. Preaching aside, I
have a great dog.
Montana is a handful, but I do not regret for one moment Montana's
presence in my life. He is special, as well as being a very handsome boy
now that he is healthy again. He makes me smile every day! Just look at
that face!
