We
would like to introduce you to Aulë. He turned four months old on
February 7th. My boyfriend and I brought Aulë back from Ohio over New
Years weekend. He didn't enjoy all the snow at first, but now looks
forward to going out and eating it. Within the months time that we have
had Aulë, he has learned to do so much. He can sit, stand, lay down,
stay and come. Although there are still we are working to perfect. We
are very proud of all his accomplishments and even more so about how
fast he has caught on to going to the door if he wants out.
Aulë is very special to us. When we got him, he had a disease called HOD
and had been on medication. A couple weeks after we got him he had a
severe relapse and couldn't use his legs. He was in the hospital for a
couple of days. It was touch and go for awhile, as his fever spiked to
106.9. Even though we hadn't had Aulë for very long yet, he had become
such a major part of our lives and hearts. Now he is back at home and
happy to be back. He is back on medication, but is now able to walk, run
and play. We are so excited and love him dearly.
