Hi!
This is Aspen. The day after we picked her out at the breeder in
Sudbury (where we lived at the time) we were driving to Toronto for the
weekend. It's a four hour drive from Sudbury to Toronto and we spent the
whole drive there and the whole drive back trying to figure out what to
name her. We wanted something original but still simple, and we finally
settled on Aspen. However, that quickly changed to The Aspenator when we
realized that she was the boss over her brother (who belongs to my
husband's sister) who is two inches taller and twenty pounds heavier.
What makes Aspen special is what my husband and I call 'Fuzz Therapy".
Every time I see her I smile, and the simple act of scratching her belly
makes the memories of a bad day go away. Her blue eyes are always
understanding, letting me know that she will always be my baby girl. I
love everything about her, from the way she talks to me when I'm not
getting ready fast enough before we go to the park, to the way she curls
up between my husband and myself at bed time. All in all, I think
adopting her was one of the best things we ever did. She's sweet,
lovable, beautiful, affectionate, playful, obedient and funny.
