My
puppy, Nick, is now nine months old. We got him at
Kyon Kennels in
Shelburne, Ontario and he now lives with us in Windsor, Ontario. Nick is
special because he was born on Christmas Eve last year, and we named him
after the kindest jolliest spirit in the world, so his full name is
Kyon's Jolly Old St. Nick!! We are looking forward to his first birthday
this holiday season. In the meantime, Nicky has been busy becoming a
well-behaved much-loved member of the family and neighborhood. He
recently graduated from Advanced Novice obedience training at the top of
his class (ok, NEAR the top)!
Apart from his studies, Nick makes sure that the back yard is free
of squirrels (which he chases) and ladybugs (which he eats), and also
enjoys long rambling autumn walks with his buddies Gyppo, Wylie, Rocky,
and Franklin. Nick's favorite things include children, tummy rubs,
socks, bits of turkey, crumpled up paper, apples, mud puddles,
homecomings, and chewing up my new eyeglasses. And we love him all the
more for it!!
