About Us
Dharma and Kirby, the Dog of the Day
Name: Dharma, Kirby
Age: Five, One year old
Gender: Female, Male Breed: Tervuran Shepherd mix, Lab mix
Home: Woodland Hills, California, USA

Dharma, a Tervuran Shepherd mix is on the left and Kirby is the Lab mix on the right. This picture was taken with their Easter bunny ears on to wish everyone a Happy Spring and Easter.

Dharma is an extremely smart girl who at six weeks was already learning all kinds of tricks. Her favorite is bow. She "takes a bow" and can wave good-bye to Daddy everyday. She will also run out and bring him the morning newspaper. She has a vocabulary of over 100 words at last count. She lets us know when the cat is at the front door and is almost human to the point that we have to "spell" words like doggy-park & car. My sister gave her a stuffed animal and we can tell her "go get Aunt Terry's baby and she will go and bring back the correct animal each time. She is never in trouble and has a mellow, sweet temperament.

Kirby came to us because no one could find a home for him. He was just six weeks also. Almost too cute for words, but stubborn and defiant to the end. He tries to follow Dharma's lead, but just never seems to be able to stay out of trouble. He has a temper and will "talk back" to you when you tell him he's bad. But he is a true love bug and at 70 pounds still insists on laying in your lap, hugging & giving kisses. He jumps into the swimming pool 4-5 times a day and just swims around.

Dharma & Kirby love each other dearly. They love to "dress up" for all the holidays and have about ten different Halloween costumes. They stand out front and greet all the kids and the kids just love it. They also will go to the senior citizen home to visit my mom and do all their tricks for the seniors there. Very special dogs for sure.
