Xena
arrived at my house weighing only one pound and seven ounces! For the
first few days I had her, she slept in a cut up Kleenex box, which was
just perfect in size! The moment I held her, I fell in love with her -
she's my little baby. There is no greater feeling than coming home after
a long day, and seeing her spin in circles and whimper until I bend down
and pick her up. I then get showered with kisses!
Xena can have a bit of an attitude, especially towards people she
doesn't know, or people she does know and doesn't necessarily like! We
named her Xena because the day she arrived, we were watching Xena:
Warrior Princess, but never dreamt that the name would be so fitting!
She is very protective of her family and will gladly show her
wonderful teeth if you try anything funny towards one of us!
Despite her small appearance, she has a monstrous appetite. I've been
told only too many times that she could stand to lose a couple of
pounds. Watching her eat is quite entertaining... she gets one piece of
food, runs into the other room, watches it, plays with it, finally
decides to eat it, and then starts all over again! She is certainly the
queen of our castle!
