My
boyfriend and I decided to name him Pablo because my first name is
Paule, and my boyfriend's first name is Paolo (he's Italian), but
everybody calls him Paul. Pablo is Paul but in Spanish. So now, all
the family members have the same name but just not in the same
language!!! One in French, one in Italian and the last one in Spanish!
We wanted to get a terrier because my boyfriend is allergic to dogs, but
not to terriers because their hair is different. And about four months
ago, we went to a dog show in Montréal and we met the only breeder of
Australian Terriers in Québec. We felt in love with the breed when we
saw one of her champion "Aussies." And three weeks later, we were
buying a puppy from her. We had to wait three months to get him, but the
wait was worth it.
Pablo is just the best puppy! We have him for two weeks now and he's
just listening so good, we tell him one time to do something and it's
done, he wants to please us so much, he'd do anything to be loved...
and trust me, he's got a lot of love in this house.
I volunteer for a shelter for dogs and cats and it's so sad to see those
poor animals that are just asking to be loved... I promised myself that
I will go get a little brother or sister to Pablo probably in two years
from now and I will rescue him from a shelter. He doesn't know any
tricks yet because we didn't teach him nothing yet but he loves to play.
I have two five-year-old cats at home, and all three play together.
The funniest thing is that because Pablo is getting raised with cats, he
thinks he's one too! He jumps from the couch to the coffee table and
lays down on it exactly like the cats do. Pablo's really affectionate
and loves to get affection too. My boyfriend and I were waiting to get
a puppy for a while, and we are so happy to add Pablo to our family.
