Grace
found me three years ago at a construction site. She had been
there a few days, and no one knew from whence she came. I opened my car
door; she jumped in, and has been with me since. I named her Grace
because her arrival in my life was akin to the Grace of God. The name
is especially appropriate because Grace gives me unconditional love.
Grace is a gentle, lovable and giving dog. She cares for me, watches
for me, protects me and loves me (as I do her). She is friendly to
other people and other dogs, yet her early training appears to be such
that she would ably protect me if the need arose.
My living room is Grace's room. Grace has access, of course, to the
entire yard and one floor of the house, but the living room is her base
of operations. She has several blankets and sleeping bags on the floor,
pillows and all her toys (pookies). Her latest furniture acquisition is
an inflatable bed, just her size, in the middle of the living room
floor. She likes the bed because it is softer than the other bedding,
enables her to see out the front window with less effort, and feels good
to walk and lie upon. Her loyalty, beauty and intelligence make her the
perfect companion. I hope that I am as good to her as she is to me.
