Gizmo,
the amazing flying weiner-dog has really brought life into our
household! She is a super-spazzed pup that likes to pounce! Our
spirited Gizmo can take Disney's Tigger on a bouncing contest any day of
the week. We really need to have a little red cape on her back and call
her "Super Giz!" When she is in hyper-mode, she makes sure everyone
knows - she turns her ears so that they flop inside-out and she goes on
her way, seeking trouble wherever it can be found!
"Little 'Giz" joined our family over a year ago to be a companion for my
eight-year old spitz named Kaiya. When we first got Giz, we were worried
that Kaiya wouldn't be too thrilled about a puppy in the house. But
they have grown to love each other, and Gizmo has a major Napoleon
complex, and bosses kaiya around every sneaky chance she can get! Gizmo
was and still is the smallest of her litter. Her sisters are bigger
than her, but they can't pounce half as much as she can. They are not
the amazing flying weiner-dog. When she is around her litter, she makes
sure all her siblings know that she may be the smallest, but she is
definitely the boss! Gizmo has a little bit of white dappling on her
muzzle, brown freckles, and a small white spot on her back. It looks
like she got into a can of paint - which is very fitting, since she is
so mischievous!
Gizmo can jump up about four feet, and no baby gates can hold this wild pup
back!! Her favorite thing to do is climb on the back of the couch and
sneak up on me and pounce on my head! Once up there, she then tries to
balance all four paws on the top of my head until she topples off. When
she is tired from all of her bouncing, Gizmo will curl up in a little
ball on my lap and snuggle. The only requirement is for me to have a
blanket for her to crawl under. She is as good about snuggling as she
is about pouncing. She loves to have someone cuddle back with her, and
really enjoys having little kisses on her neck and under her tiny
freckled chin. She has been so much fun, that I have actually started a
collection of short stories of her antics and she seems to be the topic
of conversation at any family get-together. Gizmo is definitely an
amazing dog.
