I introduce you to Cerberus? He is Rhodesian Ridgeback and American
Rednose Pitbull mix. Cerberus is very special to me. We spent 24/7 with
each other for the first seven or eight months of his life. I had no
place to take Cerberus, as I could not take him to what I called home,
an apartment with no pets allowed. So instead, I would take him to a
large parking structure where he could run and run, while he pulled me
on my rollerblades. He used to ride on my lap in the car and as he got
bigger, and could no longer fit on my lap, he had a hard time
understanding why. Because of my living situation, everybody told me I
needed a dog like a I needed a hole in my head. So, I decided it best to
give him away. That lasted about four or five days and I went and got
him back. He was so happy to see me. I was very glad I got him back.
His bad habits in puppyhood included eating my shoes - one of each,
never a pair. He can be aggressive at feeding time around other dogs, so
I just feed him alone now. He also ate the interior of my car! I muzzle
him if I am leaving him in my new car, but now I live in a house and
don't take him when he has to sit in the car. His bad habits in
adolescence? He likes to nibble on my cell phone every now and then if I
leave it where he can reach it. Positive things about him abound. He is
intelligent and trained pretty easily. He never goes potty inside, has
personality plus, and I get compliments on him everywhere I go. He
follows me everywhere and most important, he makes me laugh. He helps me
feel love.
