Hello!
My Name is Ling-Ling and I am named after a royal Chinese
Shih Tzu. Because of my being royalty, I expect to be carried, held and
adored by my owners. They, of course, oblige me, as do the other
members of our family.
I do have a part-time job when my owners are away. I have been entrusted
with keeping a close eye on my owner's father. (I consider George to be
my grandfather.) You see, George has a disease called Alzheimer's and he
has to be watched very carefully. I stay very close to him and alert my
grandmother if he wanders off the porch or gets into mischief. I do this
by getting my grandmother and barking... She thinks I am very smart,
which I am! (My grandfather thinks I belong to him because he had a dog
many years ago.) This is not difficult work because I spend a great
deal of time on George's lap or sitting on a chair next to him. Because
of my special job, my family believes I should be honored.
