Henry
came to us when we went to look at the litter of pups and he
decided to sneak outside to where we were and cause havoc with the cat.
We knew then he was the puppy for us. Like all good labradors Henry
loves to eat, sleep and run in the park. He drools at the sight of food
and has been known to fall asleep whilst in a sitting position. Other
things that keep this pup occupied are keeping his ears warm on the
heating vents, ruining the garden, retrieving anything, although his
favorites are socks and underwear, and sneaking off to the neighbors
house when he thinks we aren't watching. Henry would also like to think
of himself as a ladies man. At three months he had a golden retriever
girlfriend at puppy school. His latest love interest is a four month old
black lab lady at obedience class. Henry's other love interest - food -
makes him very easy to train. He can sit, stay, fetch, drop, roll-over,
shake hands and high-five. His latest challenge is learning to walk
properly on a lead so that we can walk him and not the other way around.
Having never owned a dog before, my boyfriend convinced me we should get
one and Henry's been one of the best decisions we made. He loves people,
cuddles and affection and is always keen to please us with his learning
ability. His special Auntie is one of his favorite humans and she tells
him stories and reads to him until he falls asleep which is generally
within about ten seconds. Henry should be honored simply because he
brings so much joy to those around him.
