Willy
is a Miniature Dachshund who was born August 15th, 2002. Willy is
a beautiful chocolate and tan. Willy currently lives in Sierra Vista,
Arizona but spent the first six weeks of his life in Bisbee, Arizona.
Willy is willing to travel to meet new pets. Standing a strapping six
inches at the shoulder and sporting an athletic frame weighing just
under 6.5 pounds as of his last vet visit, Willy is quite the lady dogs'
man and does not smoke or drink except in social situations. Willy
likes long naps on the couch, dining in, and cozy evenings by the fire.
Willy says he wants to find a mate who's not afraid to have fun and try
new things. Willy's ideal mate would be a Miniature Pincer, Toy
Poodle, or Miniature Dachshund but requires an 8 x 10 glossy photograph
before any correspondence from prospective mates will be considered.
As Dog Of The Day, Willy would strive to provide other, perhaps less beautiful
dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes with access to affordable
veterinary care and promises to lobby for the enactment of Federal
regulations prohibiting anal thermometer usage which is rampant in
today's society. Willy has expressed an interest in assisting in the
development of programs in the Sierra Vista area which would provide
obedience training to underprivileged pets from the inner-city. Willy
has recently been active in the treats-for-pups organization which
provides Beggin Strips to families who could not otherwise afford to buy
pet treats for their dogs at Christmas time. Willy has been an
outspoken activist in the debate over the public's mistaken perceptions
as to the necessity of leash usage and is founder of the Southern
Arizona Canines Against Collars (SACAC) organization, Sierra Vista
chapter which he founded just prior to this e-mail so that it could be
included among his credits. As Dog Of The Day, Willy would also pledge
to use animal control and Humane Society dogs and cats to patrol the
Sierra Vista borders to help curb the influx of undocumented rabbits and
Gila Monsters into the city limits.
