This
is Morgan. She is a Labrador Retriever who was a surprise, fortieth
birthday gift for her owner, Steve. Of course, Morgan will be sharing
her love and affection with Steve's wife and son but there is a huge
responsibility being a fortieth birthday gift dog and Morgan understands
that. Morgan enjoys the simple pleasures in life right now. She likes
to eat, play, have a drink of water, nap and repeat that cycle
indefinitely. She has learned to walk up and down the scary, open-backed
downstairs steps and she has begun taking walks to meet the other
neighborhood dogs. The steps were a challenge but meeting the
neighborhood dogs has been fun. Morgan especially likes her next-door
neighbor dog, Jake.
It has been said that dogs smile with their tails, but Morgan can and
does also smile with her eyes and mouth! She extends her light touch to
her humans when either she or they need some gentle reassurance. Morgan
can also play hard and is willing to do that as soon as the invitation
is made. Morgan is a tad disappointed to discover that dogs are not
invited onto golf courses (Steve's favorite sport) but she plans on
learning a few other sports in which she and Steve can participate
together. As a birthday dog, Morgan will be in charge of celebrating and
good wishes for the rest of her life! What a terrific job for this
happy, young spirit!
