Oscar
and Macs (aka Laurel and Hardy) are Miniature Dachshunds and are
the same age, eight years old, but came to me a year apart. I got Oscar
when he was eight weeks old and thought my search was over. A year later I
had the opportunity to "rescue" Macs and realized then that my search
was complete. They are as different as day and night, and both have so
very much to offer in their own special way. They are very loyal and
loving. They are little dogs but never let you forget they are there.
They have very "pay attention" to me attitudes. And with those darling
little faces and loving eyes, it's hard not to do.
Oscar takes the slower, easy going route, while Macs is going, going,
going... always. He is my squirrel guard and never tires of making sure
that the squirrels don't come in his back yard. Oscar is secure in
knowing that and can sleep the day away. They weren't born "brothers"
but now they would totally be lost without each other. And I would be
lost without them. I have had other dogs in my life but never a pair
such as these... they are a "pair-a -dox"! Oh, and their full names
are Oscar Meyer Wiener Wonder Dog and Mac Sausage Mac Muffin Wiener Wonder Dog!
