Ted
is probably a Great Pyrenees Mix and Nora Jane is probably a
Shih-Tzu Poodle mix, but we'll never know for sure. Both pets are animals
rescued after they were dumped. Ted was brought in malnourished and with
large, infected skin lesions making him hard to place. Who knew he would
be so beautiful once his skin was cleared up and his hair began to grow
out? Nora Jane was dumped in a very rural area in the middle of the
winter. She was pregnant, had parasites and since she was dumped outside
the city limits, the Fayetteville Animal Shelter did not have room for
her. She was placed for euthanasia, but a Humane Society of the Ozarks
volunteer fostered her until we heard about her and adopted her. She is
the smartest dog we have ever seen. Her repertoire of tricks is endless.
Both dogs are great examples of what you get when you rescue a dumped
animal. These dogs are inseparable. They love to run and play. Nora
often curls up in Ted's fur and they sleep together. They are our treasure.
