Let
me introduce you to Catcher, and she will be glad to tell you all
about herself. Ladies, gentleman, and pets of all ages this is Catcher
Marie. (Take it away Catcher ... )
Hi everyone, I'm Catcher, and I'm three. I live in a wonderful home in
Florida. You are probably wondering how I got the name Catcher. Well,
my family loves baseball, my mommy plays women's baseball, and holds the
position of catcher on her team. She loves baseball so much she named me
after her position. I think this is kinda neat. 'Specially cause I can
catch better than her. (Let's make that our little secret, shall we.)
It's funny though, for the longest time I thought my name was "no!"
I must brag on myself (Mommy does all the time) I am quite the scholar.
I have graduated from three levels of obedience, and two levels of agility. I
also have the Good Canine Citizen award, which is like the same as a
human's honors class. I am very proud of myself. (So is Mommy, just ask
her.)
I love to do lots of stuff. I love going for an evening walk with mom.
She calls it going for a "W," 'cause when she says "walk" I have a
tendency to get a little excited. She's not fooling me, I'm a scholar,
remember? One of my most favorite things to play is with my gazillion
stuffed toys, of course I know then all by name, piggy, bunny, carrot,
froggie, and ozzy. (Ozzy the ostrich... Don't ask, mom names them ...)
I can play tug, and fetch all day. Mommy gets tired, but I figure it
will help her keep in shape for baseball, right?
I also have quite the eye for fashion. Mommy always says, "A girl cannot
have too many pairs of shoes." I say "A dog cannot have too many
collars" I have one for every occasion, sporting event, and in every
color you can think of, and of course matching leashes. Could you
imagine going out of the house for an "R" (ride, Mommy again) and not
have a coordinating outfit? Not in this doggie's lifetime. Well, I must
go, I'm getting writer's paw. Thank you for reading my letter. Mommy says
Hi, and to have a great Halloween!
Catcher Marie
