Ceebers, the Dog of the Day
Name: Ceebers
Age: Seven months old
Gender: Male Breed: Yellow Labrador Retriever
Home: Kirkland, Washington, USA

This is my darling Ceebers. For the past five months, my husband and I have had such an opportunity to raise the most gentle, kind, and energetic little guy ever! I came across Ceebers (pronounced "seebers") on a farm down South. I was on the search for my perfect companion as my father has a yellow lab also named Ceebers who is getting very old. Ceebers came from a litter of six pups, all of them with the most adorable little faces and huge paws! I could tell all of them wanted to have a wonderful home. As I was leaving, I still hadn't made my choice! Until one little pup followed me as I walked to my car, and it was him! Ceebers knew that he and I would be best pals forever, and we are definitely on a great start!

Ceebers "jumped" into our life when we were good and ready to have a new family member, as we already had two cats. It took some time for everyone to adjust, but once we all knew our special place, it all went smooth from there. Ceebers is so special because every morning when he gets out of bed, he'll lick me on the face, stretch his legs, and "survey" the whole house to make sure that everything is in order, then he hits the "great outdoors" to start his day off right with some exercise by running about 10-15 laps around our big yard. Another special thing he does is when he's outside and I'm in the kitchen, whether it's making dinner, or getting a glass of water, Ceebers will pop his cute little head up in our kitchen window and say hi. He knows exactly how to tilt his head to say, "Hey Mom, can I come in and eat dinner with you?" and of course I let him in!

Another reason why he is so special is that he is so well trained for his young age. He has two certificates already! He knows how to sit, stay, stand-stay, wait, heel, and his best trick is to go straight to his bed when I say the words, "kennel cookie". I have no idea how I came up with those words, but they have stuck and they work beautifully! I can say those words anywhere and he'll be standing right at my side ready for anything! What a good boy. Ceebers is also known to be a pro at tag. I'll start running around our big yard and he'll chase me, then he'll tag my back with his paws and turn around and start running so I can tag him! What a fun guy. I can't imagine life without him! What a special little boy he is!
