Belle
is a wonderful dog who loves to romp in the woods, splash in the
river, and chase or herd anything that moves. Even though she's been
slowed by Lyme disease the past few years, as soon as she gets in the
wood or spots water the years disappear from her and she's like a puppy again.
Belle's been with us since she was seven weeks old. She was born on a
cattle farm in Woodstock, Virginia during a huge snowstorm and the first
time out of the barn was to come home to live with us. When she was
younger, she loved to play frisbee and dabbled in agility training. In
true Border Collie fashion she considers herself always on the job and
takes chasing the cats around the house just a seriously as watching the
kids play a quiet board game on a rainy Sunday afternoon. She'll circle
the table the entire game making sure all of the game pieces stay herded
together on the table from the kids.
