Although
nine years old, Zeus is still a "wild dog" at heart. He loves
to give himself back rubs on our bed, and then proceed to tear around the
house with his body about an inch off of the floor. As playful as he is,
he loves to cuddle up to my wife and me when it's time to relax. The
three of us share our bed with his "sister" Athena, who is a Black Lab
and Mastiff mix.
Zeus is everything to us: greeter, guard dog, companion, playmate, and
an all-around sweet boy. He loves soft stuffed animals, and is extremely
gentle with them. Oddly enough, one of his favorite "toys" is an empty
paper towel roll, which he will hide around the house and continue to
bring out until he gets a new one. Those who have or know Goldens know
the attachment we have to our loving dog Zeus.
