This
is my Portuguese Water Dog Ripley when she was four months old. She
has beautiful long eyelashes and the most expressive face. When we talk
to her, she tilts her head as if trying to figure out what we're
saying. When she really wants us to understand what she wants, she tries
to "talk" by making little yowling sounds. So far, she hates baths and
water, so we call her the Portuguese inland dog. She goes and sits in
the car anytime we leave the door open. Her favorite thing, besides
people, other dogs, and turkey, is snow. It was very amusing to watch
her perplexity when she first encountered it this Christmas. Her antics
are so cute, and she is such a sweet, smart baby.
