Hi,
my name is Georgie, I live in Geelong, Australia. I am a
twelve-month-old female silver Kelpie. I have lived at my new house
with my friends (owners) and my surrogate big sister, who is also a
kelpie of six years old, since I was five weeks. I knew when I arrived
at my new home that I would be spoilt. I am now finally big enough to
jump up on the couch with my big sister and cuddle up with her at night.
I am a cheeky girl, although I would call it helpful ... eg, I love to
bring in the washing off the clothesline but for some reason I get told
it's not my job. I also help my owner with the cleaning of the chicken
house daily, I help her "round" them back up into their coop. I know I
am a sheep dog, but chicks are still fun to work with. I have a
wonderful leap, (always jumping the veggie patch fence to pick the
strawberries) but that's another job that I get told isn't mine.
I have recently passed my beginner's certificate at school which I
attend every Sunday with Lucy my sister. My owners think that with my
strawberry stealing antics (fence jumping) that I could one day learn
how to do agility and flyball. I am a very quick learner, I can shake
with my right hand and I give "five" with my left. My favorite toys are
my Buster Cube and my Kong toys. I love going for walks and in the
warmer months, swimming at the beach.
It's a bit too cold for swimming at the moment but "chasing the hose" is
just as much fun. Well I had better go now, it's nearly time for my
daily "walkies" woof woof. That means I'll get my favorite smacko treats.
