This
is Steve, our rescued Pitbull/Lab who-knows-what-else mix. Steve
was found on our front porch at about four to five weeks of age,
weighing just four pounds and sick as could be. We immediately took him
to our Vet and found out that he was nearly dehydrated to death, had
mange, scabies, worms, fleas, and ticks. After shaving the entire lower
half of his body, bathing him, and giving him medication, we took him
home to nurse him back to health.
Now four months later, Steve is up to 40 pounds and is the sweetest dog
I've ever known. He adores people and loves other dogs, especially his
best friend Copper, a pure-bred Vizsla that lives just a few houses
down. Steve's favorite pastime is going to Doggy-Day-Care where he can
play with lots of other dogs all day long. When he realizes where he's
going on those days, he gets sooooo excited. He also loves to hide his
rawhide bones around the house for us to find in clothes baskets, behind
pillows, and under chairs. Steve is such a sweet, loving, and wonderful
dog and we feel so blessed that he showed up on our porch that day.
