About Us
Juneau, the Dog of the Day
Name: Juneau
Age: Two years old
Gender: Male Breed: Samoyed
Home: Massachusetts, USA

My Samoyed Juneau is a wonderful dog. I got Juneau as a puppy from a breeder in New Hampshire. I had been looking for a Samoyed for a while, and I was excited to finally find someone who bred these beautiful dogs. After being greeted his parents, Ice King and Summer Breeze, I met the puppies. The first puppy to approach me was Juneau, who was then barely more than a tiny ball of fluff. He sat with me for a few minutes, and I knew he was the one I wanted. He whined almost the whole way home, but eventually he became a member of our family. Though shy, Juneau made friends with people and dogs alike.

Juneau is a clever dog with a cheerful personality and a winning smile. Like the reindeer his ancestors herded, he makes sure we stay together, whether going for a hike or just a walk around the block.

Juneau's favorite thing in the world has to be snow. He loves to play in the snow, or just sit outside in it for hours. One of Juneau's quirks is his choice in toys. Though he loves the toys we buy for him, I think he prefers to chew on milk cartons and plastic bottles. He considers the recycling bin his own personal toy box. I think Juneau is the best dog in the world, and I hope many more years of my life are lit up by his gorgeous smile.
