Jake
is cute, a complete nutter and afraid of nothing!!! He loves coke
bottles and helps me while I am working on my old car.
Jake is ten years old and is shared between two homes, I have him at the
weekend and my mother has him on the weekdays, it's a situation that
isn't ideal and is complex as to how it came about, but Jake is happy
and has adjusted to this well. We had hoped he would quieten down by
this age but we now feel he never will, he is full of energy and a total
nut-case.
He is a very intelligent dog, he does the usual sit, stay, paw, wait and
woof tricks, on the other hand he will completely ignore you if he is
distracted by something else.
He likes to come out with me while I am working on my car, he is afraid
of nothing and will get where-ever he can, he has been under the car, in
the engine bay, on the bonnet, in the boot, out the windscreen, I
sometimes think he believes he is a cat. Pictures of these can be seen

On a flip side he will also just sit quiet inside the car while I
get on with it.
Another of his habits is to wait until I finish drinking a bottle of
coke, he then takes the bottle and chews the lid off, once the lid is
off then he has no other interest in either the bottle or the lid.
Strange! (P.S. These are plastic bottles)
He loves walkies and swimming in our local stream. We stopped saying
the word 'walkies' and started doing the walking fingers gesture instead
- he has learned this too, so now we just waggle our fingers at him and
he is off trying to get his lead.
We have had him in the family since he was a few weeks old, and we hope
to have him for many more years, he is a great dog with a great
personality, he has never had a hostile thought towards anyone in his
life, all he wants to do is meet people and play.
