We
obtained Shadow from the SPCA. I had gone to the Shelter on my lunch
break to see another dog that was posted on their website. That dog had
been transferred, but I saw Shadow and it was love at first sight. I
promptly filled out a detailed application and kept my fingers crossed,
as there were four other people that had also applied for him.
I was thrilled when I received a phone call later that day to say I had
been successful! Of course, my husband had not even seen him so I
arranged from him to meet at the Shelter that afternoon and if he didn't
like Shadow, I would withdraw my application. Fortunately Shadow won
him over too! Although we have not had all Shadow that long, he is already
one of the family. He likes to wake up my five-year-old son each morning by
sitting on his back and licking in his ears!
Shadow sleeps on his back and snores so loud, it wakes up my husband. He
loves to play in the back yard with my daughter. His absolute
favorite game is chasing an ice cube on the floor. He will throw it up
in the air and then pounce on it like a cat when it lands. The second
day we got him, he went out to the back yard and picked himself the
biggest and reddest tomato. He really tries to get our guinea pig and
budgies to play with him but hasn't been successful yet. Shadow is a
funny, loveable ball of energy and we are all so happy he is part of our family.
