This
is Mickey, a Lhasa Apso. I got him when he was about three months old
and no more than a little black and white "puff ball." He's still a puff
ball, just a little bigger now. I had been without a dog for a year,
after my previous dog, a Maltese-Bijon mix, passed on after seventeen years. I
didn't know if I was ready for another little dog in my life, but
there was such a void that one day, on impulse, I called in answer to an
ad about Lhasa's for sale, expecting to hear that the puppies were all
sold, but instead, I heard "There is one left, he's black and white and
about 2 1/2 months old, would you care to come see him?" Well, needless to
say, that was all it took, one look, one hug, and watching him "bounce"
all over the place! Now that I have him, it seems he's been here
forever. He keeps me laughing with his antics, "pouncing" on his toys,
or chasing the bugs and leaves outside, and running 100 mph around and
around the house until he's exhausted! I'm just glad I made that phone
call a few months ago, Mickey has been a source of joy and companionship for me.
