Penny Girl, the Dog of the Day
Name: Penny Girl
Age: Ten years old
Gender: Female Breed: Dalmatian
Home: Wauconda, Illinois, USA

Penny Girl is my permanent foster girl. As a puppy her records show she was in and out of homes numerous times. People would adopt her and bring her back to the shelter for what reasons I do not know. She then spent a long term of five to six years in a non-kill shelter. She was only for permanent fostering due to her issues. No one wanted her as she would lay all curled up on her blanket in her cage and growl and give people evil eyes. She has not had a good life since she was born. Penny Girl had shown signs of being abused has a pin in her back leg and now has a heart condition.

She was very difficult at first, but with giving her lost of love, trust, a good home and treats (pigs' ears) she now has a second chance at life. She loves when you are in the kitchen cooking waiting for something to drop into her mouth and loves to be curled up next to you at bed time. Penny Girl has come a long way in her life. She has had a very hard life but now has a second chance. She is my protector and my best friend.
