Mika
(pronounced Mee'-ka) is named after NHL Dallas Star Mike
Modano--because she's fast, pretty, and has such good teeth. Mika has a
calm, sweet nature, but we spoil her and she thinks people exist to
serve her. She sleeps in the bed with us and is a terrible bed hog.
She loves strangers, particularly small children, because they usually
have food on their faces that she can lick off. She's an incredibly
swift runner off the leash, especially if she sees a rabbit. Her
favorite place is the Back Bay in Newport Beach, a nature preserve which
is full of small rodents and good smells. Mika also thinks she's a lap
dog and when she's not leaning on us, will climb up and collapse on us
with a big weary sigh.
