Meet
Poppy, who's 6.6 pounds of fluffy attitude. She was born March 17,
2002 at a kennel in South Dakota. Arriving to us when she was a little
less than eight weeks old, she has been a joy around the house. She is
extremely smart, she already comes when we call her name. Her big sister
Maisy
is actually her aunt - Maisy's sister was Poppy's mom. We wanted a Corgi
to match Maisy, and I bet you couldn't tell they were different puppies
if I hadn't labelled the picture! Poppy and Maisy are gradually starting
to play - Poppy doesn't seem to realize she weighs 23 pounds less than
Maisy! Poppy is a true pig. She gets so excited at meal time she dances
around. She'll eat anything!
We have taken Poppy on a couple of walks at near by conservation land
and everybody adored her - dogs and people alike. Poppy, unlike Maisy as
a puppy, has made friends with the cats. She is so small she poses no
threat to them! Pop is also a barker - I bet that since we have gotten
her she has barked more than Maisy has in her lifetime! :) She just
waddles around the house and great outdoors when she explores. I hope
