About Us
Fletcher, the Dog of the Day
Name: Fletcher
Age: Two years old
Gender: Male Breed: Beagle
Home: Kentucky, USA

This is our precious beagle Fletcher. As you can see, he enjoys spending countless hours playing fetch with the tennis ball in the back yard. He also loves to sleep more than any dog I have ever seen. We actually have to coax him out of the bed in the morning when it is time to get up for work. On the weekends, he will sleep until 11 am and he will actually make little huffing noises at us if we try to wake him up sooner. He is also a major snuggler - he must sleep curled up right beside me at night, he loves to be held and thinks he is a lap dog. Most people are surprised at how little he barks. Beagles are known for their distinctive howl/bark, but Fletcher rarely does this. He does love to sing, however. This is how he reminds us that he is, indeed, a true beagle. If one of us starts singing, Fletcher chimes right in and actually matches our pitch. He loves to be part of the chorus and will carry on forever. Fletcher also has quite a knack for finding horrible, stinky, dead things to roll in. I don't know how he does it, but he manages to get a bath at least twice a week - pretty impressive for an inside dog! He has such a great little personality and has added so much to our home and our lives. We wouldn't trade him for the world!
