Fletcher, the Dog of the Day
Name: Fletcher
Age: Seven months old
Gender: Male Breed: Golden, Lab, Flat-coated Retriever
Home: Vestal, New York, USA

This is Fletcher or 'Fletcher the destroyer" as he is better known. He's a happy carefree puppy who loves everyone and everything - especially getting into trouble! He has a special talent for that! We call him our devil dog, our friends refer to him as "the banshee". He has been to puppy obedience class - but needs reform school. He torments his sister, Mary-Murphy the Jack Russell Terrier, and is teaching her bad habits. He has dug himself a hole under the deck that we refer to as "Fletcher's treasure chest" - if anything goes missing - that's where it winds up. He's a world class sneak thief and is working on digging straight through to China! His treasures include weed-whacker parts, garden tools, slippers, rocks, sticks, bits of paper, flowers, bird seed, zuchinni squash and of course bones.

He does have a sweet side. He loves to talk. We are lucky to get a word in edgewise. He likes to take your hand in his mouth and walk with you. I think that's his version of a human leash. He's a big lovable lug who thinks he's a lap dog. At the time of this writing he is 55 pounds and growing like a weed! He's very cuddly so we don't mind much - although the sofa could be a bit bigger.

We love our Fletcher Baby and can't imagine life without our little delinquent!!
