This
is our Little Princess BrandiWine. She wants to tell you her story.
Shhhh! My parents were fooled the moment they saw my picture on an
animal rescue website, so I decided to live up to their expectations and
be their little princess.
I was quiet, calm and loving on the long drive home. Once I reached my
home, my parent's lives and mine changed forever. I suddenly forgot the
meaning of "No." The whole house - tables, chairs, counter-tops were all
new obstacles for me to clamber on ... it was exciting. My parents
watched with what began as amusement and they cuddled and kissed me
lots. That was five months ago when I was about six months old.
Now, life is even better. I have a large couch to sleep on and the bed
is mostly mine since my parents squeeze themselves to the side of the
bed to give me space.
I used to be terrified even of water dripping from a tap, but my parents
taught me how swimming is such fun and now they wonder why. They can't
even keep me out of a little puddle! I've also learned to drool, since
I've learned the taste of so many yummy things, some of which I sampled
when my parents were out.
I go almost everywhere with my parents and in these last five months of
my life I've been to lakes, the ocean, the desert, mountains, played in
snow, doggie parks and been on lots of road trips. Best of all, I'm
always drenched in love. I've learnt a few tricks, but when I smell my
treats I start doing a Sit, Down, Lie-down and Roll-over all at once,
even before my mom asks me!
Strangers always tell my mommy I look like such a happy doggie and my
parents think they are so lucky to have rescued me, because I was meant
to be their Little Princess. Wish you all lots of love too!
