This
is my dog Lily, she's a Lurcher who lives in London. Here she is
relaxing at my friend's birthday picnic… striking a pose as usual. I'm
sure she was a model in a previous life!
She was a rescue dog when we met her in 2002 - she was unloved, skinny
and very nervous. But we brought her home, fed her up and have watched
her develop into an affectionate and loyal pet. Her favorite
activities are sprinting around the park at break-neck speeds, stalking
and chasing squirrels, sunbathing in the garden and having sneaky sleeps
on beds and sofas when Katie and Matthew aren't looking.
She gave us a big fright when she got hit by a lorry in January 2004,
breaking her back leg and fracturing her pelvis. But she's made of tough
stuff and after lots of love and pampering she's back on full steam
motoring around the park with her pals.
