My
name really is Sir Kiska Arctic McKinley. I was born in North
Carolina, but my Mom brought me to Alaska and gave me an Alaskan name
when I was just ten weeks old. I love the snow and can roll around in
it forever! I found out last summer that I don't like warm weather very
much. So, I'm glad I'm here.
This picture of me was taken in my Mom's studio. She was just playing
around, and, as you can see, so was I. I have with me my most favorite
toy in the whole wide world, Red. When Mom tells me to go get Red, I
don't putts around because I know that there will be a treat inside it soon!
Some of my favorite things to do besides being out in the snow is to beg
for Mom's food, talk (and talk some more…that's not "bark" have you), go
riding in the truck and visit my best friend Andy (a poodle). I love
visiting Andy because I always get extra treats from Andy's Mom and we
play "chase the ball". Another one of my best games is to play sock
with Mom after a walk in the rain or snow. I haven't figured out yet
why she insists that she twists me around in circles on the rug while we
play sock, instead of her nice light grey carpet. I am a smart dog
though, so someday I'll figure it out.
More than anything, I love having my Mom close by. If she's been gone
all day and gets on the phone, I let her know that that's not
appropriate (this is when I really talk). Then, she usually takes time
out to play with me, or just rub my belly.
I am a happy dog that loves to play with any dog and get attention from
any person. I'm very adorable and I'm not bragging because it's a fact.
My Mom says that I'm her "hug from God."
