This
is my Yorkshire Terrier, Dana. She is getting up in years and I
would love to see her honored for the unconditional love and devotion
she has shown our family.
Dana, a.k.a. "Boo Boo" has been with us, her adopted family, since she
was six weeks old. She was chosen out of a litter of five for her
inquisitive and feisty nature. It was love at first sight! She has the
attitude and courage of a much larger dog and is in charge of the other
furry animals sharing our household. She loves stuffed toys and will
find lambie and chickie on command only to jump on the bed and throw
them playfully in the air with numerous scary growls.
Dana is young at heart and even at thirteen will prance excitedly at the
mention of the word walk. At night she circles and scratches the
perfect spot for her sleep. But even after this ritualistic selection
process I usually find her snuggled and snoring contently under the
covers when I wake. Dana is a gem and has been a valued and much loved
member of our family for many wonderful years. In my eyes, she is still
the frisky and adorable puppy I held in my hands for the first time as
she struggled to lick my face… puppy breath and doggie love. It
doesn't get better than that.
