Pearl
is the most gentle dog you could ever imagine!! I can feed her
even the smallest piece of a dog treat from my lips, and she takes it
without having me ever feel I am in any danger. We play "fight"
over her chewbones, tennis ball, and play tug-of-war with milkbones.
Pearl is a wonderful swimmer, and loves to retrieve. She is not quite
the huntress her "dad" wanted her to be, but I think she is the best pal
I've ever had. She loves to fetch a tennis ball and leaps way high to
catch it; the grace she has makes her look like a ballerina!
Pearl recently developed cataracts, and we are hoping to correct that
problem with specialized surgery. I would be devastated if she couldn't
see the ball, but I have the feeling she would try using her other
senses! When we go for walks she seems more concerned about "losing" me
than I am about her running off on me!
She is faithful, smiley, always happy, and a true gem. Certainly a
Pearl in the ocean of pets.
