Our
dog Seamus (pronounced Shamus) has just celebrated his first
birthday. We adopted Seamus from a local animal rescue organization when
he was four months old. He had just arrived at the shelter a few days
before we spotted him peering shyly out of his cage. He was the absolute
cutest puppy out of the 80 puppies we looked at! He was extremely shy
and sweet. He pressed his entire body into us when we held him and would
look up at us with those sweet, sad eyes. How could we resist?
We have had Seamus for eight months. He is a sweet, mushy, fun loving
and playful dog. Although, he is a thief! He can retrieve any object
from the pocket of a jacket or sweater. He has been seen carrying cell
phones, tissues, coins and dollar bills very proudly around the house!
He can even unzip the kid's backpacks to search for treasures!
We never regret adopting from the shelter. Seamus' life is so much
better now and we can't imagine our life without him!
