Charlie
is special to me because my Grandad brought him when I was eighteen
months old, so we have grown up together and have formed a special bond.
As soon as I saw him it was love at first sight! He is still my best
friend now. Whether I am happy or sad he is always there.
He loves swimming, going for walks, having cuddles, having his chicken
and dog biscuits hand fed to him, drinking from the pond, annoying my nan,
playing, and lots more! The only things he hates are having a bath and
the cats that tease him by sitting on the fence!
Charlie is a very affectionate boy and at night he comes up onto the bed
and stays there until he thinks I have gone to sleep, then he gets of
and lays by the side. About two years ago I started training him. He can
now do sit, stay, paw, wait, fetch and lay down, which for him is a big
acheivement as he only does these things if he feels like it. At dinner
time (especially if it's a roast) he sits in the middle of everyone
knowing that someone is going to save him a bit!
He is a very funny character as sometimes he will smile at you or, if he
is in a ticklish mood, I tickle his leg and he makes a hehehe noise,
which we say is his laugh!
He is one of a kind!!!
