Sissy Mae, the Dog of the Day
Name: Sissy Mae
Age: Seven months old
Gender: Female Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer
Home: Farmington, New Mexico, USA

Hello, fellow doggies! My name is Sissy Mae and my Mama, Daddy and my big brother, Buzzard Jay, a big black lab, rescued me from a German Shorthaired Pointer organization. I am about seven months old. I finally got home on October three after a long trip from Kansas and foster care. I like Farmington, NM and my big, big back yard. There were so many toys awaiting me, I was beyond belief. Buzzard is a pretty cool big brother that adores me.

When I got home, I was very skinny and a little bit skittish. I am better and will develop a great personality very soon. I have really long legs and my body is not quite proportionate yet, but I will fill in. My family tells me I am a very pretty girl. I love to prance, stalk my Buzzie and eat. food is good.

My Buzzard likes to play keep away from me, he likes a lot of exercise. We run so much! I am keeping up with him and one day may be faster, but...he is pretty fast.

My greatest success story so far in my short life is not having to be crated my third night home because Buzzie taught me how to use a doggy door my first day home. I can go outside very easily when I have to pee!!

Mama has nicknamed me Dandy Long Legs; I think I might be a Mama's girl, but I am going to learn to hunt with Daddy and Buzz as well. My big brother is kissing me right now, I have to go.
