Lady
is special because she is just the best, most lovable dog ever. She
gives us hugs and is always happy to see us. She is also a good watch
dog and would never let anyone hurt her family. I swear she understands
English perfectly (when she wants to).
Lady has a great personality; she is very affectionate and loves
everyone she meets. She is also very smart and understands English
better than any other dog I have ever met, we have to spell around her
like a kid if we don't want her to hear us talking about the P-A-R-K or
going for a W-A-L-K or she will answer if we ask her if she is hungry.
She is extra affectionate when someone is upset and gets very agitated
if my husband or I raise or voices to each other. She is extremely well
trained and will obey most commands, e.g., sit, stay, speak, shake, play
dead, go, heel, lay down, etc. She will also sit still with a treat on
her nose until you tell her she can have it.
When I take her to the vet, she is the only dog in the waiting room that
is sitting minding her own business, while all the others are out of
control and pulling on leashes and barking. Her favorite game is keep
away with any stuffed animal that we give her as a toy; she likes to
play tug-o-war with us. She also likes us to get down on the floor and
wrestle with her, and she sits her 90 pound self on top of our chest when
she "wins". I think she suffers a mild form of separation anxiety. She
isn't destructive, but she mopes when we are getting ready to leave and
doesn't like to be left alone for long periods of time. She is also the
ultimate couch potato. She is simply the best.
