Cracker
was born on the Fourth of July. He is a very obedient and loyal
member of the family. When out for a walk without his leash, he will
not cross the street or even step off the curb until we tell him it's
'Okay' to cross. Even when he sees another dog on the other side of the
street, he will wait for permission to cross.
Cracker is a very loving member of the family. His personality is such
that many dogs that don't get along with other animals seem to have a
positive reaction to Cracker. There are several dogs in the area that
bark at anything that moves but get along with Cracker.
His favorite past time event is to keep an eye on our cockatiel. He
thinks it is his job to watch 'Little One's' every move when she is out
of the cage.
His favorite 'trick' is to 'get the mouse'. If my wife or I ask him,
'Where's the mouse?', he looks at the floor and will try 'digging' to
find it. He will pounce and bark until we tell him 'The mouse is gone.'
It started as a game in the bedroom where he would look under the bed
and bark at the mouse and then progressed to hunting wherever he might
be when we ask the question.
Cracker is one of five puppies. He has two brothers and two sisters
that are about six to eight inches taller. Cracker may have been the
'runt' of the litter, but he turned out to be the most affectionate,
obedient and well behaved.
