This
is Bullreguard, AKA "Bully". A male, he is a Rottweiler/Boxer mix
and weighs about 110 pounds. Bullreguard came to live with us 1 1/2
years ago from a very neglectful and abusive situation. He was never
given walks, never had been socialized, and never even played with
toys. He was always left alone outside or in a cellar on a chain. He
now is the most wonderful and playful dog I have ever seen. His
favorite place in on our loveseat, preferably laying across my lap. He
now has unlimited run of a house and yard and is always so happy, and
is always thrilled to see us, even if we have just gone outside to
get something from the car. No matter who we invite in the house, he
instantly loves them. The Plumber was thrilled!!
My husband is a tractor trailer driver, and Bully loves to ride along
whenever possible spending most of the time riding shotgun. He does
however, love to nap in the bunk as well. We go for three walks a day for a
total of two to three hours depending on weather, and in between, at any given
time that you say the word, "walk" he is ready to go! He is now in
excellent health and condition. He has so much energy and can jump so
high, it is unbelievable. It is a most wonderful breed. He has the
Youthful exuberance of a boxer, along with the quiet "wait and see"
attitude of a Rottweiler. He loves to guard the house, A job he takes
very seriously. If it is not the postman he barks at, it is most likely
an unscrupulous squirrel.
