This
is my baby girl, Tasha. She's not really a baby anymore as she is
approaching six years old soon, but she enjoys the status of a coddled
baby in our home nonetheless! Tasha loves her comforts, and can most
often be found curled up on a sofa or bed, preferably also with a warm
fuzzy blanket or pillow. When my husband or I enter the room while
she's lounging, the only thing that moves is her tail, which thumps
enthusiastically, and of course we can never resist to go over and give
her some scratches. She's learned this way she doesn't have to get up
and come to us in order to get rubs and pets.
She is a quick study, amazingly fast to learn both obedience and ways to
get out of doing what she would rather not do, but overall she is very
eager to please. When the door opens, she rockets out of whatever nest
she's in, because that means it's time to go out and chase away any
squirrels and do her favorite outdoor activity: Run! She enjoys racing
from point A to point B while she's out, and she's so fluid and natural
it is always a pleasure to watch her.
Tasha is my first pound dog, we adopted her from the local shelter when
she was eight weeks old. She has some issues with trusting strangers, but
within her family she's loving, loyal, and dedicated to looking out for
everyone. She's very motherly and makes a point of trying to keep
everyone "groomed." She loves to romp and play with her "little" big
brother, Tommy, a Golden Retriever, who adores her.
We know this little girl has us wrapped around her paw, and we wouldn't
have it any other way. We are truly blessed to have her in our family!
