This
is my border collie Sparky. She is a very smart, energetic, playful
puppy. The first thing everybody notices about Sparky is her eyes, as
you can see she has one brown and one blue eye. Some people find it
creepy while others think it's beautiful. Once you live with her for
awhile, you don't even notice anymore. I'm too busy trying to keep her
entertained to notice what color her eyes are.
Sparky is a very busy dog, I have to keep it that way otherwise we
both go crazy. She is involved in Agility, Flyball, Skijouring, and
Sheep Herding, and she also comes to work with me every day. I work at
Paws'n Train Dog Training & Doggie Daycare, so she gets to play with
other dogs all day at daycare and then she serves as my demo dog during
training at night. We have dogs coming in and out of the house all the
time, whether it be foster dogs, or just dogs I'm looking after for the
weekend, and Sparky loves them all. She also loves to play with my cat,
Zoe. They are best of friends and will chase each other around and
wrestle on the bed. It is very funny to watch.
Sparky is completely obsessed with tennis balls. The first thing she
does when she sees you is drops a ball at your feet expecting you to
throw it. If you don't throw the ball right away, she will stare at you
with that border collie glare until you do. And if you're not paying
attention to her she will bark at you, just to remind you that she's
still there.
Sparky has come a long way since I got her. She came from a farm where
she had never been in a house, or seen a toy, or met new people or
animals. When I brought her home she was scared of everything! But now
she is a friendly, fun-loving dog and I wouldn't trade her for the world.
