This
is Mr. Butters Von Wienerhausen. He is a thirteen-pound "tweenie"
Dachshund. A "tweenie" is a wiener dog that grew too big to be a
miniature (under eleven pounds), but isn't quite a standard (sixteen pounds and
up.) Mr. Butters is special because he is a doggie genius. He
definitely is clear about his feelings - if he's feeling angry or sad,
you know it. Mr. Butters likes routine and when a routine is broken, he
gets upset. He loves walks, Grandma, and cheeseballs. Mr. Butters sits
at the table at dinner like a human, never reaching for food unless it's
offered to him - he has manners, of course. He does not like getting
dressed up, but he's a good sport and lets Mommy dress him in all kinds
of clothes and costumes anyway.
Mr. Butters is extremely friendly and cries if people, cats, or other
dogs ignore him when he wants attention. When he doesn't want
attention, he will ignore you. Mr. Butters also loves to sleep,
especially under the covers in the big bed. He will sleep in past the
rest of the family. He also likes to sleep curled up with his baby
sister, a miniature dachshund who looks like his twin. Mr. Butters has
a big, big personality and deserves for the world to know him!
