Sebastian
came into our lives three years ago. His second owner was
moving and didn't want to take him along. My husband and I would see
Sebastian sitting in his fenced in yard all alone and we would go over
and talk to him. Sometimes we took a ball along and he loved to play
ball. We didn't have an adjustment problem with Sebastian at all. He is
a wonderful dog and still loves to play ball and take daily walks but
his favorite is playing stick and playing with his sled in the winter.
Sebastian has a gentle and loving personality. If our other dog barks
he will give up his toy or even his resting spot to this smaller dog.
If a stranger comes to the door he will go up to them and greet them
like this person was a long lost friend. He has a motto: Have ball-
will play! We will find him with a ball near him all of the time. We
take a long daily walk each morning and when we return he will go get
his ball and want to play.. Every morning when we get up we find a ball
in our bed. Sebastian tries to wake us up so we will play ball.
Sebastian has a two good dog friends. Luke, another black lab in our
neighborhood and Nora, a friend's service dog. These dogs love to play
tug of war with a stuffed toy or chase a frisbee. In the winter
Sebastian loves his plastic sled. He will get this sled in his mouth and
push it along and he will also flip the sled over and over. It's a good
work out for him!
Although he appears to be a big, strong boy he does have one weakness. He
is afraid of storms. As soon as he hears thunder he is at my side. My
husband and I are so happy to have Sebastian come into our life!
