Bella
is a rescue Border Collie who came to live with us at four months
of age. Unfortunately, a week after we adopted her, three pit bulls came
out of a gate and attacked her while I was walking her down the street.
It was a horrible nightmare, but thankfully she survived. The dogs broke
the growth plate in her left leg and she needed corrective surgery. She
has scars all over her body (which are not visible because of her long
hair).
However, even through this terrible ordeal, she has an incredible
disposition and loves other dogs and people. She loves life, is always
happy and ready to play. In typical Border Collie fashion, she is very
intelligent, learns very quickly and is sometimes stubborn and/or bossy.
That's alright though - Bella is our miracle girl and is the sweetest
dog we have ever known.
