Here
is a picture of Leia, at four months old. She is an Alaskan Malamute
and the love of our lives. We hope to
you think she's as cute as we do.
We bought Leia right after we got married and moved out on our own. We
thought a dog would be good to have around when I was home alone. We
now realize that Leia is the worst possible choice as a watch dog,
though ... she loves everyone too much. As far as she is concerned,
everyone and every dog was put here just for her to say hi to and love
on. One particular dog, Scooter, is her favorite friend in the world,
and whenever she is having fun outside with another dog, she runs up to
his door, hoping he can come out and play too. She could be in the
middle of eating, yet she'll still run to the door if asked if she wants
to visit Scooter! Talk about puppy love!
Leia has brought so much love to our lives and perhaps one of our
favorite things about her is the fact that she'll go to her water bowl
and get her whole face wet and then come over to us if we're sitting on
the floor and lick our ears because she knows it makes us laugh. She's
like that, always doing something to get a response out of us. I really
wish everyone out there could have the opportunity to meet our precious
Princess Leia... they would love her instantly, just as we do.
