Nico
was named after the supermodel and singer with the Velvet
Underground. Our Nico is a fetching machine. She runs super fast, and
she'll just go and go. When she needs to cool off and catch her breath,
she makes herself long on the grass (or the snow in the winter) with her
legs splayed out like a frog.
Nico is a petite flower (only 60 pounds, small for a purebred Lab), but
as you can see, her tongue is big enough for a dog twice her size. I'm
convinced that she completely understands English, and she has no idea
she's a dog and not a human. Her dad and I love her lots, as does her
Boxer sister, Sissy!
